Shrimp Kabobs are simple, light and a perfect umami pairing for a new mouth adventure.
TIP: Shrimp is a great protein for cooking quickly. Veggies should be thin enough to cook evenly, but not too thin to stay on the skewer.
HARDWARE: Bamboo or Metal Skewers, Mixing Bowl, Grill or Roasting Rack with Sheet Pan
YIELDS 2-4 Servings

1 jar Just+Add Beer Smoky Japanese Miso BBQ
1 bottle (12 ounces) Sapporo or Your Favorite Lager
1 pound Shrimp
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1-2 medium Red Onion
1 medium Zucchini
STEP 1: MAKE SAUCE & GLAZE
Combine 4 tablespoons Just+Add Beer Smoky Japanese Miso BBQ + 2 tablespoons Sapporo or your favorite Lager and set aside to use as glaze or dipping sauce.
STEP 2: MAKE MARINADE
In a medium mixing bowl. Combine the beer with the rest of Just+Add Beer Smoky Japanese Miso BBQ and Sapporo or your favorite Lager to create marinade.
STEP 3: MARINATE SHRIMP
Combine marinade mix with shrimp for at least 30 minutes.
STEP 4: PREP VEGETABLES
Cut up both onions and cucumbers, as shown. Cut to similar thickness as your shrimp. Toss in olive oil, salt and pepper.
STEP 5: GRILL
Shrimp cooks quickly – these skewers will be on the grill for about 7 minutes. Once the shrimp turn color after about 2-3 minutes, brush on glaze. Continue turning and glazing until complete.
STEP 5: PLATE & GARNISH
Relish these epic flavors when paired with the Sapporo or other Lager.
